Teaching & Milan Tarascas

Milan is an Artist, Designer and Educator. He works and collaborates with schools, institutions and studios in London and often works on site specific projects abroad. Milan has worked closely with Jade Fadojutimi over the last 6 years in her studio practice and continues to participate in growing the culture around her work. The roots of Milans artistry comes from music-growing up playing cello formed a language in parallel to then studying sculpture at the Slade school of fine art. His work now takes on many dimensions; as process methodology, as performance, as creating condition, as transference, as social intervention, as connectedness. His works are improvised and experimental in nature, exploring the pull between the chaos and control in the process of their making. Milan’s practice is characterised by fragmented, non-linear narratives- making leaps between different places, times and contexts, forcing viewers to acknowledge complex relations and the inextricable connection between individual and society
